This Undergraduate Music Student Handbook has been prepared to provide important information for students in the School of Music and to help answer questions that arise during the normal course of study. Please become familiar with its content.

Students should consult the General Catalog, the official Bulletin of the University of Utah, as the primary source of information regarding curricular and academic matters. This handbook is not intended to replace the Bulletin nor provide all information students will need to know. It will provide answers to many important questions. While every attempt has been made to insure the accuracy of the information in this handbook, if there are contradictions with the Bulletin, the Bulletin will be the final word. The University of Utah also publishes a Student Handbook. Students should consult the University Student Handbook for questions regarding University policies.
