Audition Information:

The following degree programs require an audition for admission to the School of Music.

• Master of Music in Woodwind, Brass, String, or Percussion Performance
• Master of Music in Piano Performance
• Master of Music in Collaborative Piano
• Master of Music in Vocal Performance
• Master of Music in Jazz Studies
• Master of Music in History & Literature
• Master of Music in Choral or Instrumental Conducting (must first submit a videotape and may be asked to perform a live audition later.)
• Doctor of Musical Arts, Instrumental or Vocal Performance
• Doctor of Musical Arts, Piano Performance (30-minute audition required)
• Doctor of Musical Arts, Choral or Instrumental Conducting (must first submit a videotape and may be asked to perform a live audition later.)

Submission of Written Materials

Related Fields for the DMA: All DMA students are to choose a related field of study. This happens after a student is admitted to the DMA program, usually during the first semester of study. The student must file formal application for admission into the chosen Related Field, following these requirements.
