Gretchen A Tanner received a Bachelor of Music Degree with an emphasis on Piano Pedagogy from the University of Utah in 1989. In 1992 she completed her Masters of Music Degree with emphasis on Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Houston. Ms. Tanner is currently Assistant Director of the Preparatory Division at the University of Utah. With a faculty of 17 teachers and over 200 students the Preparatory Division offers classes in Piano and Organ. She currently teaches Beginning Piano as well as private students for the Division. She enjoys performing as part of the Little-Tanner Duo, in recitals around the valley, as well as accompanying local choirs and instrumentalists. She is a memeber of the MTNA and is an active lecturer and adjudicator. Her teachers include: Janet Mann, Nancy Weems, Lenora Ford Brown and Reid Nibley.
