ShruDeLi Ownbey was a principal artist with the Honolulu and the Utah Symphonies for over 30 years. She studied at the Curtis Institute of Music before coming to the University of Utah.

In her private studio, Ownbey begins teaching 3-year-old students through the Suzuki/Mother-tongue Method and also teaches at Suzuki Institutes throughout the United States. She is Artistic Director of Lyon & Healy West and is the organizer of the International Harp Concert Series held at Libby Gardner Hall and funded by the Victor Salvi Foundation, Inc. with the cooperation of the Utah Chapter of the American Harp Society.
