Dr. Michael Huff is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The University of Utah School of Music, the Conductor and Music Director of the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir, and is in his 16th season as Artistic Director of The Festival of Gold™ Series, operated by Heritage Festivals. He also serves as Immediate Past-President of Utah ACDA. A freelance pianist, conductor, arranger, and producer, he is in steady demand as a choral and instrumental conductor, pianist, clinician, adjudicator, speaker, and teacher.

>He spent over a decade as Associate Conductor and Principal Accompanist for the Utah Symphony Chorus, and was Conductor of the South Davis Civic Chorale and Orchestra. In addition to his work in choral and instrumental music, he produces the annual Half-time Finale at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee, where over the years he has worked with tens of thousands of high school-aged band students, and numerous recording stars, including LeAnn Rimes, B.B. King, Clint Black, Alabama, Three Dog Night, The Beach Boys, and Lee Greenwood.

Dr. Huff holds music degrees from The University of Utah (B. Mus, M. Mus) and Arizona State University (D.M.A.). He also studied piano at the Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt, Germany. His professional life has taken him nearly around the world, and to stages in many of the world’s great musical capitals. The work – still in progress – for which he and his wife of twenty-one years are most grateful is their busy home, and six thriving children.
