The Lyric Opera Ensemble of the University of Utah was founded in the early 1900s. The L.O.E. rehearses in the Vocal Arts Center and performs at Kingsbury Hall, a state of the art, recently renovated theater. http://www.kingsburyhall.org/
The Lyric Opera Ensemble performs regularly with the Utah Philharmonia under the direction of Dr. Robert Baldwin. Recent productions include Bernstein’s Candide, Weil’s Street Scene, Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Suor Angelica, and Mozart’s Magic Flute. Other scenes programs and concerts are performed at the Libby Gardner Concert Hall and in the Thompson Chamber Hall.
